Awesome Day...

Halloween 2010 & my 44th Birthday
I finished my first 1/2 Marathon
Denny, Emily,Pam & I all ran it.

This is us the night before, picking up our packets.

These are the shirts we got with our registration

Us girls taking off our shirts to show other shirts.
Denny looks scared doesnt' he..

I made these shirts and hats for each of us.

I started out and ran 13.26 miles.
5.26 mile alone then Denny joined me and ran 8 miles.
Pam and Emily then joined and ran the last 4 miles with us.

The run was beautiful but the wind about killed me.
For most of the time I could see my shadow and my ponytail was stIcking straight out.

My first pit stop

This is where Denny started running.

Denny getting my timer started again.

Love this picture

Emily & Pam waiting for us so they can start running
This was Emily's first time doing an event like this.

I'm waiting for the restroom and Denny is helping me stretch out my legs..
Paul thought he was really funny taking this pictures.
(Yes looks kinda dirty) but it's not LOL

And off they all go.

The finish of my 1/2 Marathon

I loved this run but my body was very tired. I was toast for the rest of the day.
And bike brain happens with running also.

                                                         Paul & Paige

This is the cake that Pam made for me.
(that is a dinner plate size)

I just want to thank Denny, Pam & Emily for joining me in this goal.
And Paul for driving us and taking all the pictures.
Chris for keeping Paul company while we all ran.
Also thanks for everyone for spending Halloween with me.

I just gotta say I hope I still look like this next year.
                                                        Not bad for 44
What a great birthday I had.

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my dad’s birthday. He would have been 69. I don’t like that I’m saying this but
I just wanted to say Thank you to him for being my inspiration for me changing my life.
He has been gone for over 26 yrs now. He was way to young to die.
He passed from a massive heart attack at the age of 43.
I miss you lots
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!
P.S. … Thanks to both my mom and dad for having me.
LOVE YOU..

My first 1/2 Marathon

I asked Renee to set up a training schedule for me for October to make sure
I'll be ready for my 1/2 Marathon on the 31st.

Just finished my 8 miles on the treadmill... Hate running inside... and I found out that after 1000 calories it resets and also after 100 mins the treadmill STOPS...
I'm running along almost done and it just stops.
 Scared me LOL

So the total time is 1hr 46.02 miles and 1346 calories.
Then I did 20 mins of Zumba... Loving this workout. Every move is sexy. Totally worth buying.

Next weekend is my first 1/2 Marathon. I think I'm ready.
What a great way to spend my 44th b-day.

Daily Stuff & Workout Room..

My alarm starts going off at 4:00am, and I hit the snooze at least twice. then I get my butt out of bed and get coffee, watch the news and get down into my workout room by
4:45 or 5:00 am. and work out until 6:00am.
I have all kinds of stuff in my basement. From a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, mountain bike on a trainer, Wii and of course workout games
and lots of other workout DVD's.
I'm getting excited I ordered the Zumba workout video's.
I have spent many many hours there.
Denny made me a board that I can put all my numbers and things from
each event that I do and who I do it with.

Apple Harvest 8K run

Had a great run this morning. Started out at the smoke stack in Onalaska

Our friend Charlie plays Uncle Sam in the Parade.

He has really shaky hands so that's why the picture is blurrier.

The route was really nice. They did a great job of making sure all the runners were safe on the roads.
As you can see by the picture below.
NO they weren't there to put me in the back. LOL

I'm slowly picking up speed. I shaved 3 mins off each mile today.
I was really proud of Denny and I, there was 2 girls that started out behind us then they cheated and didn't run about 2 miles of it. We were almost to the finish and they were ahead of us. I told Denny they aren't going to beat me. So I kicked it into higher gear
(ya like I have one) and we did beat them.
Even tho we got lost LOL
So we did alittle more then 5 miles

Denny got 1st place for his age group and I got 2nd.
Yaaa for us...
shhh-- Denny was the only one in his age group and there were only two in mine.
But I dont care...
We got ribbons.

And Denny won a Stihl hat and I got a gift card to Kelly's Gold St. Diner
We would do this run again next year.
