Richland weekend

February 21-23

Over the mountains and through the passes to Auntie Pam's house we go.
Julie and I had signed up for the 1/2 marathon in Richland but then we both got hurt, but we still trecked across the mountains to support our other Jean Team runners.
We all piled into my car and took off for the weekend.
#Olsenkidroadtrip

Pam and Emily both ran the 1/2 marathon.
Shannon ran the full marathon, she was trying to qualify for the Boston marathon 2015.

Denny drove Julie and I around so we could cheer our runners on throughout the run.

Shannon did it!!!
Boston 2015 here she comes....

That evening Denny and I introduced everyone to raclette dinner.
It was really fun watching everyone try this weird dinner.
This is by far my favorite food right now.

Thanks Pam and Paul for letting all of us crash at your house.
Julie & Joel thanks for carpooling with us. #mycarwillneverrecover
Great job on the run  Pam, Emily & Shannon.

Surprise!!!

January 11, 2014:

January 12 was my mom's 70th birthday.

My aunt Pam, Sami & I hopped a plane on the 11th and went to
Arizona to surprise her the day before.

I had already arranged with mom's good friend Pam Siemers
to have a little party at her house.
Pam S knew about it several months before, she told all of mom's friends
about the party and everyone kept it a secret. Great job everyone.

I didn't call and tell Bruce until the Friday before so that he could come
and pick us up from the airport.
We didn't want to tell him because I knew he wouldn't have been
able to keep it from mom.
He had a hard enough time with just knowing for a week.
Sorry Bruce but you know it's true. LOL

Thank you, Thank you. Thank you Pam S for doing all the work for the party.
Mom is lucky to have you in her life.

We got to stay for 3 full days. Mom and Bruce got to show us their new place
and we got to see why they love it there.
It was during the time I was on steroids so we did easy stuff.
We got to check out the pool and hot tub mom loves, did a little walking,
movie watching, playing cards and of course eating and had a few cocktails.

If was a fun trip and we are so glad we were able to go and surprise mom.
Can't wait to see them in July for Sami & Tino's wedding.

LOVE YOU MOM!!!

Super Bowl Champs....

February 2, 2014:

OH this is really bad but I don't care. My cousin Julie does a blog also and she already did her blog about  the Super Bowl and the night before. So YES I'm cheating and just copying her blog,.
I would be saying the same things but she says it way better then I do.

Check out all of her blog... She has an amazing story.

Seahawks win the SUPER BOWL!!

And the Seahawks fun continues… and for the first time the Seahawks have won the Super Bowl. What a fun and magical time it is to be a Seahawks fan! You can not go anywhere  locally without someone wearing some team gear or talking about the big game. I have a feeling Seahawks magic will continue around here for a while. I know Bennett will be talking about it for ages!
Kiddos, I hope 30 years from now when you are as much of a die hard fan as your dad you can look back at these pictures of you enjoying the very first of many Seahawk Championships!

First year of the lucky headbands with my girls… I know they made a difference

Aunt T and Uncle Denny Come to Party:
I love love love it when people want to do some sort of kid friendly activity that involves some sort of adult fun too, especially when they offer to come to our house and invade for the night. I love how much Aunt Teri and Uncle Denny truly enjoy spending time with the kids. They are always so helpful and fun. It helps that they don’t have any grandkids of their own. Although I look forward to their kids having kids I have a slight feeling us Olsens will get kicked to the curb :) hehe

We spent the whole day making fun treats for the Super Bowl inside while Denny and Joel played outside. Bennett loved playing with his bow and arrow and Denny helped with the chicken coop, thank god…
What a fun day!
After the kiddos went to bed and after a few
cocktails the baking may have slowly taken a turn…
here are some of the shenanigans…

I had company when I was getting ready.
Love it...

Thanks for a awesome night Julie.
Love you all!!
